Fire Breaks Out in Nashik Apartment During Champions Trophy Victory Celebrations
Nashik, March 10 – A fire broke out in an apartment in Nashik after fireworks were set off on the streets to celebrate India's victory in the ICC Champions Trophy final. According to officials, the incident occurred on Sunday night at around 10:30 PM in the College Road area. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
As per agency report, a group of cricket fans had gathered to mark India's win by lighting fireworks, one of which accidentally entered a residential apartment, igniting a fire. Firefighters arrived promptly after receiving an emergency call and took nearly 30 minutes to control the blaze.
However, the situation escalated when a large crowd of nearly 4,000 people, gathered for the celebrations, disrupted the firefighting efforts. Some enthusiastic fans climbed onto the fire truck and danced, momentarily hindering the emergency response.
Authorities eventually managed to disperse the crowd with police intervention. The incident has raised concerns about public safety during mass celebrations, prompting officials to urge citizens to exercise caution while celebrating with fireworks in residential areas.
