I am @chessvaishali and I am thrilled to be taking over our PM Thiru @narendramodi Ji’s social media properties and that too on #WomensDay. As many of you would know, I play chess and I feel very proud to be representing our beloved country in many tournaments. pic.twitter.com/LlYTmqE2MQ
Vaishali expressed gratitude to her parents, Thiru Rameshbabu and Thirumathi Nagalakshmi, for their unwavering support and acknowledged her close bond with her brother, Praggnanandhaa. She noted that women athletes in India are now receiving significant support and training opportunities, helping them excel on the global stage.
Prime Minister Modi had earlier reaffirmed his government’s commitment to women’s empowerment through various policies and initiatives. He announced that his social media accounts would be managed for the day by women who have made remarkable contributions in different fields. Modi reiterated that his administration has always prioritized women’s empowerment, and this was reflected in the government’s numerous programs and schemes.
This is not the first time the Prime Minister has taken such an initiative. In 2020, he had also handed over his social media accounts to women achievers to highlight their inspiring stories.
