SVNIT Alumni Association Surat Chapter to Launch ‘Project Jyoti’ with a Unique Musical Event
The SVNIT Alumni Association Surat Chapter is set to launch ‘Project Jyoti’ on Saturday, March 8, at 8 PM at the Sanjeev Kumar Auditorium. This initiative, which is the first of its kind in the city, will be introduced through a special musical event. The association comprises over 500 alumni from diverse fields, including civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, business, and academia, and has been actively involved in various charitable projects for several years.
As per reports, the association’s leadership includes President Akshay Pachchigar, Vice Presidents Ketan Desai and Ashwin Chaudhary, Secretary Dharam Bhagat, Joint Secretary Tushar Mehta, and Treasurer Apoorva Pathak, along with contributions from all its members toward this project.
According to Akshay Pachchigar, the primary goal of Project Jyoti is to support academically bright students from economically disadvantaged families who do not receive any government assistance. The initiative aims to provide them with access to higher education. Under this project, foundation classes will be introduced, offering free coaching for JEE and NEET aspirants. Additionally, students in grades 9 and 10 will receive foundational courses at no cost, taught by trained professors.
Several schools in Surat, including Jeevan Bharti Mandal and Public Education Society, have extended their support for Project Jyoti by identifying and enrolling deserving students. The initiative will officially begin in April with a batch of at least 100 students from Surat, aiming to provide them with quality education and a brighter future.
