Surat Gears Up for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Visit on March 7
Surat is preparing for the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 7 as he embarks on a tour of South Gujarat. With the Prime Minister scheduled to address a public gathering in Limbayat, the city's administration has intensified its preparations. The entire Limbayat area has undergone significant changes, and both government officials and local leaders have conducted inspections of the Prime Minister's route and the event venue.
Modi is set to deliver a speech at Neelgiri Circle in Limbayat, where he will address a large public gathering, which will include over fifty thousand beneficiaries of the National Food Security Act. In addition to the public rally, a three-kilometer-long roadshow from the Limbayat helipad to Neelgiri Circle has been planned. Senior police officials have already reviewed the route and the event site, followed by an inspection by BJP leaders along with municipal and administrative authorities.
For the past two weeks, extensive preparations have been underway across Surat to ensure a smooth and grand event. The administration has taken up beautification projects, including road repairs, divider enhancements, and improved lighting, all of which are now in their final stages. On Tuesday, Mayor Dakshesh Mavani, Deputy Mayor Dr. Narendra Patil, Standing Committee Chairman Rajan Patel, BJP leader Shashi Tripathi, and senior municipal officials visited the event site to review the ongoing preparations.
The roadshow planned for the Prime Minister’s visit will span three kilometers, with approximately thirty welcome stages set up along the route. Various community leaders and organizations will be present on these platforms to extend their greetings to Modi as he proceeds towards the venue. With just a few days left for the visit, the city is gearing up for a grand and meticulously planned event to welcome the Prime Minister of India.
