Gujarat ATS Recovers Live Hand Grenades in Faridabad During Anti-Terror Operation

Faridabad, March 3: The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) recovered two live hand grenades from a dilapidated house in the Pali area of Sohna Road, Faridabad, following the lead of a youth linked to a terrorist organization. The operation was conducted in coordination with the Faridabad police late Sunday night.

As per agency report, multiple police vehicles from Gujarat ATS and Faridabad police arrived in the Pali area, with a heavy security presence deployed at the location. The arrested individual, identified as 19-year-old Abdul Rahman, hails from Milkipur, Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh. Authorities suspect that he has connections to a terrorist organization, leading to his apprehension by Gujarat ATS.

During the four-hour search operation at the abandoned house, officials discovered two live hand grenades. The Faridabad police spokesperson, Yashpal Singh, described the case as highly sensitive, with both Gujarat and Haryana police actively investigating the matter.

Following the recovery, Gujarat ATS took Abdul Rahman and the seized explosives into custody for further interrogation. Security agencies continue to assess the situation, and more details are expected as the investigation progresses.
