Four Killed in Tragic Road Accident on NH-11 in Bikaner
Bikaner, March 2: A devastating road accident on National Highway NH-11 (Jaisalmer Road) in Bikaner's Nal police station area late Saturday night resulted in the deaths of four young men. The incident occurred when a speeding Scorpio crashed into two motorcycles from behind. The impact was so severe that three victims died on the spot, while the fourth succumbed to injuries during treatment at the hospital.
According to police officials, the victims were returning home after working at a wedding event. Around 2 AM, as they were heading towards Nal Badi village, a high-speed Scorpio collided with their motorcycles, causing extensive damage. The intensity of the crash was such that the front wheels of the Scorpio detached, and both motorcycles were completely wrecked.
Nal Police Station in-charge Vikas Vishnoi confirmed the identities of the deceased as Omprakash (29), son of Gangaram; Rahul (25), son of Choruram; Kojuram alias Shyamlal (18), son of Birju Ram; and Gordhan (30), son of Choruram. As per agency report, the police have handed over the bodies to the families after post-mortem and have launched a search for the Scorpio driver, who fled the scene after the crash.
The funeral for the four victims took place on Sunday afternoon in Nal village, where hundreds of grieving villagers and relatives gathered to pay their last respects. Local MLA Vishwanath Meghwal visited the PBM Hospital mortuary to console the bereaved families. Meanwhile, police have intensified their investigation and are making efforts to apprehend the absconding driver.
