Roof Collapse in Punjab’s Tarn Taran Claims Five Lives
Tarn Taran, March 1: In a tragic incident, five members of a family lost their lives after the roof of their house collapsed in Pandori Gola village of Tarn Taran district, Punjab, early Saturday morning.
The deceased include a couple and their three children. According to initial reports, the family was asleep when the accident occurred. Relatives of the victims informed the media that the roof was made of wooden beams, and a structural shift is believed to have caused its collapse.
Four of the deceased have been identified as Gurvinder Singh, Amarjeet Kaur, Eku, and Gurlal Singh. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police from Tarn Taran Sadar police station arrived at the scene and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances leading to the collapse.
