Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Visit Surat on March 7 with Grand Roadshow and Public Event
Surat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Surat on March 7 for a grand event, with preparations nearing completion. The visit will feature a 3.5-kilometer-long roadshow, where thousands of people are expected to welcome the Prime Minister with enthusiasm.
Union Minister C.R. Paatil and Minister of State for Home Affairs Harsh Sanghvi visited the event site at Neelgiri Ground in Limbayat on Sunday to review the preparations for the Prime Minister's visit.
A special event will be held at the Neelgiri Ground under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), where 75,000 beneficiaries will participate. These beneficiaries include recipients of old-age assistance pensions, widow assistance, and disability support schemes. The event venue features a specially constructed German dome, which is set to make this one of the most grandiose events in Surat's history.
Prime Minister Modi will participate in the grand roadshow from the helipad in Limbayat to Neelgiri Ground. Thousands of people are expected to line up along both sides of the road to catch a glimpse of the Prime Minister. Several points along the route are being prepared for the grand welcome, with elaborate arrangements to ensure smooth proceedings. The police department has implemented strict security measures to prevent any untoward incidents.
The Prime Minister may stay overnight in Surat on March 7 and is expected to attend the International Women's Day celebration in Navsari on March 8. The administration has already started preparing for his accommodation and the scheduled programs.
