JEE-Main 2025 Results: 14 Students Achieve Perfect Scores in First Session
New Delhi, February 11 – The results for the first session of the JEE-Main 2025 engineering entrance exam have been announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA), with 14 students securing the highest normalized scores. A significant number of these top scorers hail from Rajasthan, while others represent various states across India.
Among the top 14 candidates, 12 belong to the General category, while one each is from the Other Backward Class (OBC) and Scheduled Caste (SC) categories. The first session of this crucial examination saw the participation of over 12.58 lakh candidates.
The state-wise distribution of top scorers includes five students from Rajasthan, two each from Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, and one each from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Telangana, and Maharashtra.
NTA officials clarified that the NTA score is not a percentage but a normalized score, which is calculated based on candidates’ performance in multi-session exams. A senior official explained that the NTA score is computed on a scale of 100 to 0, considering the relative performance of all candidates in a particular session.
The JEE-Main exam was conducted in 13 languages, including Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. Additionally, the exam was held in 15 international cities, including Manama, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore, Kuwait City, Kuala Lumpur, Abu Dhabi, West Java, Washington, Lagos, and Munich.
The first session of JEE-Main was conducted in January-February, while the second session is scheduled for April. Candidates qualifying through Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be shortlisted for the JEE-Advanced exam, which serves as the gateway to 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
After both sessions of JEE-Main 2025, the final rank list will be prepared based on the best NTA score of each candidate, as per the established policy.
