Ahmedabad Tragedy: Two Fatalities in Separate Road Accidents Within Two Days
Rickshaw Accident Claims Life of Young Father, Leaving Two Daughters Behind
Ahmedabad: In a span of two days, two separate road accidents have claimed the lives of two individuals in the city, raising concerns over pedestrian safety. A recent spate of accidents involving pedestrians has alarmed local residents and authorities alike.
On Wednesday, an elderly man visiting from Delhi was struck by a tempo driver in the Narol area while crossing the road. He was taken to a civil hospital for treatment, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The following day, a young man met a similar fate in front of the Naroda fruit market. A speeding rickshaw, coming from the direction of the Naroda Fire Station, hit him as he crossed the road. He was rushed to Asarwa Civil Hospital, where he later died due to a severe head injury.
The deceased young man, Dhanraj Yadav, is survived by his wife Vimlaben and their two daughters. Vimlaben filed a complaint at the local traffic police station after being informed of her husband's tragic accident. Yadav had been on his way to work at a Vastrapur bungalow when the incident occurred, leaving his daughters home alone.
As accidents continue to rise in Ahmedabad, these recent fatalities serve as a stark reminder of the need for increased road safety measures to protect pedestrians and prevent further tragedies.
