Fire Engulfs Flower Vendor's Shop in Historic Ambaji Temple Complex

Surat, India - A fire broke out late at night in a Flower Vendor's shop located within the historic Ambaji temple complex in the old city of Kot area in Surat. The incident caused panic in the area, prompting locals to rush to extinguish the fire. The fire department was informed and arrived on the scene to control the blaze, which destroyed all the puja items in the shop. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported.

The fire erupted in a shop selling flowers and prasad for the legendary Ambaji Mata Temple near Chaurasi Dairy on Ambaji Road. A large crowd gathered at the temple complex as news of the fire spread. The temple, which is over 200 years old, attracts thousands of devotees during festivals.

The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, but it quickly escalated into a massive blaze, prompting locals to alert the fire department. In response, three fire brigade teams from Ghanchi Sheri, Navsari Bazar, and Mughalisara arrived at the scene with over six vehicles.

Local residents also joined the fire brigade teams in their efforts to extinguish the fire. The blaze, which engulfed the Flower Vendor's shop and destroyed dry coconuts, poojapa, and other materials, was brought under control after an hour of concerted effort. While the cause of the fire is yet to be determined, some speculate that it may have been due to a short circuit caused by heat.
