In a shocking incident in Vadodara, a young man riding a bike with his wife and two children was brutally attacked by a group of assailants over a past dispute. The attackers fled the scene with a gold chain from the wife's neck and a bag containing Rs 72,000.
On Monday afternoon, Aamir Khan Irfan Ali Pathan, a resident of Gorwa Karoiya Road, was riding his bike with his family when a car overtook and stopped in front of him near Deendayal School, Naviard. The group inside the car, along with another car and bike that arrived shortly after, attacked Pathan with wooden sticks and bats due to a previous altercation with his elder brother, Tariq Khan Pathan Arif.
During the assault, the attackers also manhandled Pathan's wife, snatching her gold chain and stealing a bag containing cash. The couple's five-month-old son and two-year-old daughter sustained minor injuries in the attack. As Pathan called for help, the assailants fled in their vehicles, threatening to kill him.
Following the complaint, police registered a case against Umar Abdulhasan Pathan, Tauseef Abdulhasan Pathan, Kalia alias Asif Abdulhasan Pathan, Sahbaz Mekua, Akram alias Gabharu, Abjal Islam Pathan, Pappu Lalbhai, Bhura alias Abdulhasan Pathan, and Arif alias Tinku, all residents of Gorwa. Charges include looting, assault, intimidation, and other sections. The police have initiated the process of arresting the accused.
