Factory Owner Arrested in Noida for Manufacturing Fake Plastic Pipes

Noida, December 19 – A factory owner in Surajpur, Noida, has been arrested on charges of manufacturing counterfeit plastic pipes under the brand names of prominent companies such as Supreme Pipes and Ashirvad Pipes.

Police Raid and Discovery
Station House Officer (SHO) Vinod Kumar of Surajpur Police Station revealed that the arrest followed a tip-off from Manish Jindal, a manager at Supreme Pipes. Jindal informed the police about illegal activities in an industrial area located in Site-C of Surajpur. Acting on this information, a police team conducted a raid on the premises and apprehended the factory owner, Anil Maurya.

During the raid, the police discovered a large stock of counterfeit CPVC pipes branded with the names Supreme and Ashirvad. Additionally, machinery used to stamp fake logos on the pipes, along with equipment and raw materials used in manufacturing, was seized from the site.

Investigation Findings
Initial investigations revealed that Maurya had been operating the counterfeit pipe manufacturing operation for a significant period. The pipes were being sold in the market as genuine products, potentially defrauding customers and damaging the reputation of the original brands.

Legal Action
Maurya has been taken into custody and is being presented before the court. Police officials stated that further investigations are underway to identify other potential collaborators in the counterfeit operation.

This arrest highlights ongoing efforts by authorities to crack down on counterfeit manufacturing and protect consumer rights in the region.
