Market Cap Review: Airtel Leads with ₹47,836 Crore Growth Among Top 10 Firms
New Delhi, December 15 – Five of India’s top 10 most valuable companies added a combined ₹1,13,117.17 crore to their market valuation last week, with Bharti Airtel emerging as the biggest gainer. However, market heavyweights like Reliance Industries, LIC, and SBI saw their valuations dip.
Top Gainers
Among the gainers, Bharti Airtel registered the highest jump of ₹47,836.6 crore, bringing its market capitalization to ₹9,57,842.40 crore. Infosys followed with a valuation increase of ₹31,826.97 crore, reaching ₹8,30,387.10 crore.
Other major gainers included:
- HDFC Bank: ₹11,887.78 crore rise to ₹14,31,158.06 crore.
- ICICI Bank: ₹11,760.8 crore growth to ₹9,49,306.37 crore.
- TCS: ₹9,805.02 crore increase to ₹16,18,587.63 crore.
Declining Market Valuations
In contrast, Reliance Industries led the decliners with a drop of ₹52,031.98 crore, reducing its market valuation to ₹17,23,144.70 crore. Other notable losers included:
- LIC: ₹32,067.73 crore decline to ₹5,89,869.29 crore.
- Hindustan Unilever (HUL): ₹22,250.63 crore fall to ₹5,61,423.08 crore.
- SBI: ₹2,052.66 crore decrease to ₹7,69,034.51 crore.
- ITC: ₹1,376.19 crore drop to ₹5,88,195.82 crore.
