Vaibhav Suryavanshi Excited to Train Under Rahul Dravid at Rajasthan Royals

New Delhi, December 12 – Rising cricket star Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who recently became the youngest player to be picked in an Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, is more thrilled about training under legendary coach Rahul Dravid at Rajasthan Royals than the prospect of playing in the league itself.

At just 13 years old, Suryavanshi was signed by Rajasthan Royals during last month’s IPL auction, setting a record as the youngest player in the league's history.

Excitement for Rahul Dravid’s Coaching

Speaking about the opportunity, Suryavanshi said, “I’m truly happy to have this chance to play in the IPL, but what excites me more is being coached by Rahul Dravid Sir. Playing under his guidance will be a dream come true.”

The young cricketer added, “I don’t have any specific strategy for the IPL. I’ll just play the way I always do.”

Reflecting on India’s Under-19 Asia Cup Performance

Suryavanshi also shared his thoughts on the Indian team's performance at the recently concluded Under-19 Asia Cup, where they fell short in the final against Bangladesh. India was bowled out for 139 in 35.2 overs while chasing 199, losing the match by 59 runs.

Defending the team’s efforts, he said, “I wouldn’t say we performed poorly in the tournament. Sometimes, the batting order collapses, and that can happen to any team. Unfortunately, that’s what happened to us in the final.”

Suryavanshi’s IPL debut and training under Dravid are eagerly awaited by fans, who are keen to see how the young prodigy develops under the mentorship of one of cricket's finest tacticians.
