Party Leaders and Workers Kick Off Initiative at Surat's Ambika Niketan Temple

BJP Launches Statewide Cleanliness Drive at Religious Sites

Surat - The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated a cleanliness campaign targeting major religious places across the state. The drive began at the renowned Ambika Niketan temple in Surat, where State BJP President CR Patil and State Education Minister Prafulbhai Pansheriya actively participated in the cleaning efforts, wielding brooms and shovels.

Ambika Niketan, also known as Mota Ambaji, holds significant religious importance in Surat and is located in the Parle Point area. As part of the statewide initiative, the BJP has planned cleanliness drives at 23 religious sites, with activities taking place on the third Sunday of every month. The campaign aims to thoroughly clean these pilgrimage sites through two to two and a half hours of concentrated effort.

State Education Minister Prafulla Pansheriya emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness not only in cities but also at temple grounds, citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to the cleanliness mission across the country.

Gujarat BJP President CR Patil urged party members to actively participate in the cleaning initiative rather than merely taking photographs. The drive saw the involvement of MLAs, councilors, and workers led by Surat City BJP President Niranjanbhai Jhanjmera, who all took part in cleaning the Ambika Niketan temple complex and Tapi river ghat.
