CM Bhupendra Patel Performs Rituals at Somnath Temple, Unveils Informative Documentary
Visits Somnath for State Government's 11th Chintan Shivir
Rajkot, November 21: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, on Thursday, visited the sacred Somnath Temple, the first among the twelve Jyotirlingas, to participate in the state government’s 11th Chintan Shivir. During his visit, the Chief Minister performed the traditional Someshwar Puja and unveiled an informative documentary for devotees at the Somnath Trust’s information center.
Before the rituals, Chief Minister Patel was warmly welcomed at the temple by Somnath Temple Trust Trustee J. D. Parmar and Secretary Yogendra Bhai Desai with a floral bouquet. He offered prayers, conducted an abhishek with Ganga water, and adorned Lord Somnath Mahadev with offerings and a flower garland.
Tourism and Forest Minister Mulubhai Bera accompanied Patel in performing the rituals and expressed a sense of spiritual fulfillment. The Chief Minister prayed for peace, prosperity, and well-being for all citizens of Gujarat.
The ceremony was attended by Vijay Singh Chavda, General Manager of the Somnath Trust, along with other senior officials. The visit underscored the cultural and spiritual significance of the Somnath Temple while highlighting the state government’s commitment to promoting Gujarat’s rich heritage.
