Surat Tragedy: Young Man Killed Over Deleted Girlfriend Photo
Three Brothers Arrested for Fatal Attack Amid Dispute
Surat, India - A young man was killed in a violent altercation in Vedrod Bahuchar Nagar after being asked to delete a photo of a friend's girlfriend from his mobile phone. The three brothers responsible for the fatal attack have been arrested by the Chowk Bazar police and charged with murder.
The conflict began when 24-year-old Lingarajmagi Behera, an Orissa resident working at Maa Tarini Mess in Surat, discovered that his friend Ramakrishna "Kalia" Tarini Behera had saved photos of his girlfriend from his Instagram account onto his mobile phone. Lingaraj asked Ramakrishna to delete the photos, sparking a disagreement between the two friends.
Later that evening, Lingaraj, accompanied by his friend Balram Laxman Swain, confronted Ramakrishna and his brothers Rajendra and Keetu Behera near a shop called RK Electronics. The situation escalated quickly, leading to a violent altercation in which the three Behera brothers attacked Lingaraj and Balram with a knife.
Tragically, Balram Laxman Swain succumbed to his injuries during treatment, while Lingaraj is currently receiving medical care at a nearby hospital. Following the incident, the Chowk Bazar police arrived at the scene and arrested the three Behera brothers, who now face murder charges.
