Gujarat: A massive fire erupted in a firecracker factory near Lalavapurakampa in the Aravalli district, resulting in the deaths of four laborers and widespread panic in the area. Plumes of smoke billowed from the factory, drawing thousands of onlookers from surrounding regions. Five individuals were rescued from the inferno, which has been deemed a major incident by the fire department. The Himmatnagar-Modasa road was closed due to the fire, and the laborers identified as Lalit, Ajay, Rambhai, and Sajan tragically lost their lives.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire was sparked by a welding accident, causing extensive damage to the facility and its contents. Police were called to the scene, where they worked to control the chaotic crowd that had gathered. Fire brigade vehicles from Gandhinagar and Himmatnagar were also dispatched to combat the blaze and prevent further loss of life or property.
