Prime Minister Modi to Inaugurate Development Projects Worth Over 4800 Crores in Gujarat

Ahmedabad, October 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on October 28, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects valued at over Rs. 4800 crores. These projects span across several districts, including Amreli, Jamnagar, Morbi, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Junagadh, Porbandar, Kutch, and Botad, encompassing a total of around 1600 initiatives.

Among the key projects, PM Modi will inaugurate the Bharat Mata Sarovar on the Gagadio River in Amreli, constructed at a cost of Rs. 35 crore. Additionally, he will initiate water conservation projects valued at Rs. 20 crore, which include 1000 pit, borewell, and well recharge projects, as well as inaugurating 590 similar projects already completed.

Major Projects Across Various Sectors

Water Supply Projects: The PM will inaugurate and lay the foundation for water supply projects worth Rs. 705 crores, including the inauguration of the Navda-to-Chavand Bulk Pipeline, benefiting over 67 lakh people across 1298 villages and 36 cities in the districts of Botad, Amreli, Junagadh, Rajkot, and Porbandar. Additionally, a new water augmentation plan will be launched in Bhavnagar to support 95 villages across three tehsils.

Bharat Mata Sarovar: Constructed under a public-private partnership between the Gujarat Government and the Dholakia Foundation, this reservoir in Dudhala, Amreli, has a water storage capacity of 24.5 crore liters, significantly aiding local water levels, irrigation, and drinking water supply.

Highway Development by NHAI: Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation for projects by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) amounting to Rs. 2811 crores. These include the expansion of several highway sections, such as Dhrol-Bhadra and Dwarka-Khambhaliya, among others, enhancing road infrastructure across Gujarat

Railway Infrastructure: The Bhuj-Naliya Gauge Conversion Project, completed at a cost of Rs. 1094 crore, will also be inaugurated, with its 24 major bridges and 254 minor bridges boosting connectivity and economic development in Kutch.

In addition, Prime Minister Modi will initiate Rs. 200 crore worth of eco-tourism projects in Gujarat, including the development of Morkarsagar Reservoir in Porbandar as a sustainable tourism spot, presenting an extensive gift of infrastructure and growth projects to Gujarat’s citizens ahead of Diwali.
