Gujarat Assembly Announces New Committee Appointments, Creates History
Diverse representation as Congress and Aam Aadmi Party members join key committees
Gujarat Vidhansabha has announced the appointment of new members to various assembly committees, marking a historical moment with the inclusion of members from the BJP, Congress, and Aam Aadmi Party. The announcement showcases increased diversity and representation within the assembly committees.
Jitu Vaghani has been appointed as the chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, a position traditionally held by a member of the ruling party. Notably, Congress members Arjun Modhwadia and CJ Chavda have also secured places in the Public Accounts Committee, along with Aam Aadmi Party MLA Hemant Ahir.
In other appointments, Manishaben Vakil has been named the chairperson of the Style Committee, with Dr. Tushar Chaudhary of Congress joining as a member. Pankaj Desai has been appointed chairman of the Panchayati Raj Committee, with Congress MLA Ganiben Thakor also earning a place.
Anant Patel from Congress has been appointed to the State Tribal Advisory Council, while PC Baranda takes the helm as chairman. Kirit Patel and Hardik Patel have been included in the North Gujarat University Committee. These diverse appointments signal a new era of cooperation and collaboration among the major political parties in Gujarat.
