Robbery Accused's Associates Attempt to Intimidate Police in Ahmedabad

AHMEDABAD - Two men entered a police post in the eastern area of Ahmedabad, attempting to rescue a robbery suspect in custody and threatening to kill the officers on duty. After the police refused to release the accused, the men became aggressive, verbally abusing and physically assaulting one of the officers. Both attackers have been arrested.

The initial arrest involved Sanjay Bharwad, who was taken into custody for dacoity at the New Naroda police station. Soon after, two men arrived at the post, identifying themselves as Narendra Singh Rahewar and Kuldeep Singh Bhadauria. They demanded the release of Bharwad.

As Rahewar tried to pull the robbery suspect away, the police intervened, prompting Bhadauria to push an officer. The altercation escalated as the attackers knocked down the officer's chair, grabbed the policeman's collar, and kicked him in the stomach while hurling insults at him.

The aggressors threatened the officers, stating that if they stepped outside the post, they would demonstrate their strength and kill them. However, upon notifying the control room, additional police personnel arrived on the scene. Both Rahewar and Bhadauria were arrested and are now in police custody.
