Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel Inaugurates Renovated Khadi Bhavan in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad – Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Saturday inaugurated the newly renovated Khadi Bhavan, operated by the Saurashtra Rachnatmak Samiti, Rajkot, near Income Tax Circle in Ahmedabad.

During the event, the Chief Minister also made a purchase from the Khadi Bhavan to encourage citizens, especially the youth, to adopt Khadi as a symbol of sustainable and traditional fashion.

This Khadi Bhavan, established 59 years ago, entered its 60th year. The original building was inaugurated by then-Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on March 6, 1965. With time, the structure required renovation, leading to its reconstruction to meet current needs.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent personalities, including Pratibha Jain from Ahmedabad, Amit Shah, MLA from Ellisbridge, Parag Trivedi, Minister of the Saurashtra Rachnatmak Samiti, Rajkot, along with President Himmatbhai Goda and Vice President Vallabhbhai Lakhani.
