Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and CM Yogi Adityanath Inaugurate UP International Trade Show
Over 500 foreign investors from 80 countries participate in the five-day event in Greater Noida.
Greater Noida, 25 September: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath jointly inaugurated the UP International Trade Show on Wednesday. The five-day event will host over 500 foreign investors from more than 80 countries. During the opening ceremony, the Vice President praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, calling him a "game changer" who has transformed the state's conditions.
Several prominent leaders from the central and Uttar Pradesh governments were present at the event. After the inauguration, Dhankhar and Adityanath toured the stalls in an e-rickshaw and interacted with the artisans showcasing their work.
In a symbolic gesture, CM Yogi Adityanath also picked up drumsticks and played a drum, with Vice President Dhankhar joining him in the musical performance.
During his address, Vice President Dhankhar highlighted the significant positive changes in Uttar Pradesh under Yogi's leadership. "Yogi Adityanath is truly a game changer. He has transformed the state's landscape. I am amazed by his round-the-clock vigilance over his administration. Under his leadership, Uttar Pradesh is moving forward at a rapid pace," Dhankhar said.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath remarked that the purpose of organizing this trade show is to provide global market access to small entrepreneurs in the state. He noted that Uttar Pradesh is the first state in the country to host its own international trade show.
"This trade show will play a crucial role in achieving our goal of a one-trillion-dollar economy for Uttar Pradesh. Last year, the event saw business transactions worth INR 6,000 crores. This year, we have over 500 foreign investors from more than 80 countries participating," Yogi added.
Several key figures were present at the event, including Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, MSME and Textiles Minister Rakesh Sachan, along with senior state ministers Swatantra Dev Singh, Brajesh Singh, Dharmapal Singh Saini, Nand Gopal Nandi, and Dayashankar Singh.
