6-Year-Old Boy Crushed to Death by Bus in Surat; Driver Flees Scene
Surat: In a tragic road accident, a six-year-old boy was killed near Anuvrat Dwar on the BRTS route in Surat. The child was run over by a bus, leading to his immediate death at the scene. The incident has left the local community in shock.
Eyewitnesses reported that the boy was crossing the BRTS road when a bus, approaching from behind, struck him with significant force. The severity of the accident was such that the child sustained fatal injuries and died instantly.
Following the incident, the bus driver fled the scene. Vesu police arrived promptly and have begun an investigation into the matter. The bus has been impounded, and authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area to identify the driver and further investigate the circumstances.
BRTS Buses: A Growing Concern for Public Safety
This is not the first time BRTS buses have been involved in fatal accidents in Surat. Recently, a collision between two BRTS buses in the Katargam New GIDC area resulted in several injuries and two deaths.
