FOGWA to Host "Vibrant Textile Expo-2024" in Surat from September 28-30

Over 150 Weavers to Participate; Expo Expected to Generate Business Worth ₹500 Crore

FOGWA to Host

The Federation of Gujarat Weavers Welfare Association (FOGWA), known for its relentless work over the past 30 years for the welfare and protection of weavers, is set to host the "Vibrant Textile Expo-2024" from September 28 to 30 at Rajhans Fabrizo in Surat.

Under the sensitive and visionary leadership of FOGWA President Ashokbhai Jirawala, the organization has amicably resolved numerous issues faced by the weaving community. Recognizing the need to showcase the artistry of weavers on national and international platforms at minimal costs, Jirawala contemplated organizing a dedicated exhibition for weavers.

Making history, FOGWA previously organized the "Vibrant Textile Expo-2022," a first-of-its-kind exhibition exclusively for weavers. The event saw participation from approximately 140 weavers across Gujarat and attracted around 30,000 visitors from India and abroad.

Building on the tremendous success and continuous demand from the weaving community, the "Vibrant Textile Expo-2024" is poised to be even larger. This year's expo will feature around 150 weaver participants from all over the country. An estimated 30,000 visitors, including international guests, are expected to attend. The event is projected to generate business worth approximately ₹500 crore for the participating weavers.

Importantly, all participating weavers will receive subsidies from the government for this exhibition. This support ensures that weavers can benefit from the expo at a very nominal cost. FOGWA warmly invites all weaver friends to participate in this exhibition, which aims to elevate their businesses to new heights.

The expo will not only provide a platform for weavers to display their craftsmanship but also offer opportunities for networking, knowledge exchange, and exposure to new markets. The organization remains committed to the growth and prosperity of the weaving community and looks forward to a successful event.
