Young Man Jumps from Surat's Cable Bridge

Surat, India - A young man jumped into the Tapi River from the cable bridge in Adajan, Surat, after handing over his belongings, phone, and car keys to the bridge's security guard. The incident, which was captured on CCTV, has left authorities searching for the youth and investigating the reason behind his actions.

The security guard on duty attempted to save the young man by chasing after him as he ran towards the middle of the bridge. Unfortunately, the guard was unable to intervene before the youth jumped into the river.

The fire department was alerted to the incident and promptly arrived on the scene. Fire brigade personnel have begun searching for the young man in the Tapi River, but no clear motive for his actions has been discovered. Both the police and fire departments are investigating the incident, working to identify the youth and uncover the reasons behind his apparent suicide attempt.

Fire officer Ashok Patel stated that the search operation was initiated at 11:30 am, with teams from the Majura and Adajan fire departments leading the effort. Patel confirmed that the young man left his belongings, including a bag, with the security guard before jumping from the bridge.
