Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], September 10: In a heartfelt celebration of teacher’s day, Vedanta Aluminium India’s largest producer of aluminium, honoured over 150 teachers from 50 schools across Sundargarh area and Kalahandi district, recognising their commitment to education and the vital role they play in shaping the future of the community.

The teachers were felicitated in the presence of esteemed guests from the Jamkhani coal mines area, including the local sarpanch. As a token of gratitude, they were presented with traditional uttariyas symbolising respect and were presented with special gifts as an appreciation for their efforts.

Additionally, a lively cultural programme was conducted highlighting the talents of young students, engaging games were organised for the teachers, fostering a sense of community among all attendees. Vedanta Aluminium Mines remains committed to honouring and supporting educators who are the backbone of the community.

As the event progressed, teachers were acknowledged for the numerous challenges they encounter daily from managing overpopulated classrooms to navigating through insufficient resources. The teachers continue to persevere with dedication, despite these hurdles and inspire, nurture and guide the students with unwavering commitment.
