Marwari University, located on Bhagole Morbi Road in Rajkot, has once again found itself embroiled in controversy. The campus was shaken by the revelation that cannabis plants had been grown behind a block known as the Nigerian campus.
Upon receiving information about the cannabis plants on campus, the plants were set ablaze before media personnel could arrive to investigate. The fire produced a strong odor of cannabis smoke. Police were informed of the incident and arrived at the university to collect samples of the plants for further analysis at the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL).
The university's trustee has pledged full cooperation with the police investigation and stated that action will be taken against any individuals found to be involved in the case. The police are currently investigating the matter, seeking to uncover those responsible for the illicit cultivation of cannabis on university grounds.
