Surat: A tragic accident occurred near Kamrej, in Ubhel village, when a road roller fell off the newly constructed National Highway bridge, resulting in the death of its operator. The operator, identified as Amit, was pinned under the heavy machinery and could not be saved by onlookers or coworkers.
The accident took place during ongoing road construction work on the National Highway bridge. The road roller reportedly hit the edge of the bridge and tumbled down onto the road below, creating an uproar among the village residents and construction workers who had gathered at the scene.
The force of the fall caused the road roller to flip upside down, crushing the operator underneath. Despite efforts to rescue Amit, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The gruesome aftermath left blood on the road and created chaos among the onlookers.
Following the incident, a traffic jam ensued as police arrived at the scene to manage the situation. Authorities successfully cleared the area and restored traffic flow, while the operator's body was transported to the hospital for postmortem examination and further investigation into the accident.
