Surat Students Shine in Company Secretary Exams

Surat, August 25: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) announced the results of the June 2024 CS Executive and Professional Level Examinations on August 25. Surat's students have excelled, bringing recognition to their city.

Under the guidance of CA CS Sneh Bhatia and CS Bhupendra Jain, 18 students from Ignite Academy cleared the CS Professional Examination, and 60 passed the CS Executive Examination. Notably, a student from Ignite Academy ranked at the city level in the CS Professional Exam. Miss Priya Kankaria topped Surat in the CS Professional (Old Course) Examination.

CA CS Sneh Bhatia provided insights into the significance of the Company Secretary course. "The CS program is a professional degree administered by the ICSI, offering comprehensive knowledge related to corporate laws and regulations. Students can enroll in this course after passing the 12th grade from any stream—Commerce, Science, or Arts," he explained.

The CS Examination is conducted at three levels: CS Executive Entrance Test (CSEET), CS Executive, and CS Professional (Final level). A diligent student can complete these levels in 2.5 years after the 12th standard and in 2 years after graduation.

With the growing corporate culture, the career of a Company Secretary has become increasingly appealing, hence attracting a lot of interest from students. The next sessions for the CS Executive and Professional exams are scheduled for June 2025 and December 2025. In 2022-23, ICSI introduced a new curriculum for all three levels, considering changes in corporate laws and government regulations.
