Mumbai, August 23 – Recently, rumors surfaced that Sharad Sankla, known for his role as Abdul in the popular TV series 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', was leaving the show. These speculations were fueled by Abdul's absence in recent episodes, leading to widespread conjecture about Sankla's departure.
However, Sankla has firmly denied these rumors, stating, "The news of me leaving the show is completely false. I am not going anywhere and I am very much a part of this program." He explained that his character's temporary absence was simply part of the storyline and assured fans that Abdul will be making a comeback soon.
Sankla expressed his affection for the show, describing it as a significant and long-lasting part of his career. "Why would I leave such a lovely and successful show? I am known for my character, and this is a big opportunity for me. I can’t even think about leaving," he added.
He further highlighted his deep connection with the production house, Neela Telefilms, and his long-standing friendship with the producer, Asit Modi. "Neela Telefilms is like family to me, and Asit Modi is a college friend. I would never think about leaving the show," Sankla reassured.
