Dev Steel area accident claims lives of two residents from Gondal and two from Dhoraji as cars collide after one crosses the divider.
Rajkot – In a tragic accident near Dev Steel on the Gondal National Highway in Rajkot, four youths lost their lives early Tuesday morning. The accident occurred around 3:45 AM when a car traveling from Rajkot to Dhoraji lost control and crossed the highway divider, crashing head-on with another vehicle coming from Gondal's Sandhiya Pul Chauraha towards Gundala Square.
The collision was so violent that one of the cars overturned, jumping 10 feet from the impact, and both vehicles were completely shattered. Three of the victims, identified as Siddharaj Singh Jhala, Kripal Singh Jadeja, and two other youths, died on the spot, while the fourth succumbed to injuries at the hospital.
Local police, ambulance services, and other officials quickly arrived at the scene to manage the situation. The Rajkot Gondal National Highway, which is currently being expanded to six lanes, has become increasingly hazardous due to rain-induced potholes, leading to frequent accidents in the area.
