Heartwarming Rakshabandhan Celebration at Surat Civil Hospital

Surat – An emotional and heartwarming scene unfolded at Surat Civil Hospital on the auspicious festival of Rakshabandhan, where the nursing staff continued their long-standing tradition of tying Rakhis to the patients. This thoughtful gesture, which has been a cherished practice for the past three decades, brought smiles and warmth to the hospital environment.

This year, the nurses once again applied kumkum tilak to the patients, offering their heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery. The event was organized in the presence of Iqbal Kadiwala of the Gujarat Nursing Council, with the Nursing Association tying Rakhis to the patients as a symbol of care and protection.

The nurses went from ward to ward, tying Rakhis and celebrating the festival with patients, many of whom were moved to tears by the kindness and affection shown to them. The celebration was not limited to the patients; resident doctors at the hospital also received Rakhis from the nursing staff, further enhancing the spirit of the festival.

As part of the ceremony, the nursing staff tied a Raksha Sutra to Dr. Ketan Nayak, while Dr. Parulben Vadgama tied Rakhis to Kiranbhai Domadia and Iqbal Kadiwala, making the occasion even more special. The celebration of Rakshabandhan at Surat Civil Hospital once again highlighted the deep bond of care and compassion between the nursing staff and their patients, bringing a sense of joy and positivity to all involved.
