Surat — Rameshchandra Sanghvi, the father of Minister of State for Home Affairs Harsh Sanghvi, passed away today after a prolonged illness. He had been battling multiple health issues, including lung and kidney diseases, and had been under medical care for an extended period.
In recent days, Rameshchandra Sanghvi's condition deteriorated significantly, leading to his transfer to a private hospital in Surat. Despite ongoing treatment, he passed away today, August 17. Following his demise, family members and friends of Harsh Sanghvi gathered at the hospital to offer their condolences.
Rameshchandra Sanghvi's last rites will take place today, with the funeral procession departing from his residence at Dharam Palace, Parle Point, at 4 p.m. The procession will proceed to the Umra Ramnath Ghela crematorium.
State Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi, who had been closely monitoring his father's health, was in Surat yesterday and remained by his father's side during his final moments.
