SGCCI's 'Yarn Expo-2024' Attracts Over 1,500 International Buyers

Surat — The South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) is making waves with its three-day 'Yarn Expo-2024', which kicked off on August 9. Attracting more than 1,500 buyers from India and overseas, the exhibition features 92 yarn manufacturers displaying a wide range of products.

SGCCI President Vijay Mevawala highlighted the participation of buyers from across India and countries such as Europe, Dubai, and Kenya. The expo showcases various yarns, including cotton, polyester, wool, silk, linen, viscose, ramie, and spandex. Special yarns like silver zari, gold zari, tensile yarn, katan, n silk, lyocell, zinc linen, carbon fiber, moisture management, biodegradable, hemp yarn, and antimicrobial yarn have garnered significant attention from buyers.

The event also saw buyers from major textile hubs, including Tirupur, Varanasi, Ludhiana, Panipat, Salem, Mau, Solapur, Delhi, Wankaner, Gurgaon, Jetpur, Bangalore, Ajmer, Erode, Kolkata, Coimbatore, Ichhalkaranji, Punjab, Greater Noida, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Junagadh, Rajkot, Silvassa, Vapi, Vyara, Pune, and Nashik. The Yarn Expo attracted 4,600 visitors on its opening day and 7,950 visitors on the second day, reflecting the growing interest and potential for networking and business opportunities in the textile industry.
