PM Modi Surveys Kerala’s Disaster-Stricken Wayanad

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted an aerial survey of Wayanad district in Kerala to assess the damage caused by heavy rains and landslides. Flying over the hardest-hit areas, including Choorlamalla, Mundakkai, and Punchirimattam villages, he was joined by Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, and Union Minister of State for Tourism and Petroleum and Natural Gas Suresh Gopi.

Following the aerial survey, Prime Minister Modi visited the landslide-affected regions to gauge the extent of the loss of life and property. He interacted with soldiers engaged in relief and rescue operations, seeking details on the situation.

Modi’s itinerary also included visits to the Government Vocational Higher Secondary School in Vellaramalla and Bailey Bridge. He is set to meet the Central Armed Forces and residents impacted by the landslides. Additionally, the Prime Minister will tour a relief camp to further understand the needs of the affected community.
