Paris – The Indian men's hockey team has secured a place in the semi-finals of the Paris Olympics 2024. In a thrilling quarter-final match played on Sunday, India triumphed over Great Britain with a 4-2 victory in a penalty shootout. The game ended 1-1 after four quarters, necessitating the shootout where India emerged victorious.

The match witnessed fierce competition between the two teams. Both sides earned penalty corners in the first quarter but failed to convert them into goals, leaving the score at 0-0. In the second quarter, a significant setback occurred for India when Amit Rohidas received a red card after his stick inadvertently struck a British player, reducing India to 10 players.
