Fatal Collision on Vadodara-Halol Road Claims Two Lives
Five-Vehicle Pile-Up Near Jarod Village Causes Traffic Jam, Injures Three
Vadodara- A devastating road accident occurred near Jarod village on the Vadodara-Halol road early Saturday morning, involving five vehicles. The collision claimed the lives of Naresh Dodia (35) and his wife Dharmishthaben, both residents of Jarod village, who were traveling in their car. Three other individuals sustained injuries and were promptly transported to the hospital.
According to reports, the accident took place near the Jarod three-way junction. Naresh Dodia was attempting to cross the road in his car when a heavy loader truck and a water tanker collided. The impact caused both vehicles to overturn, crushing two additional cars and a rickshaw beneath them. The car in which the Dodias were traveling was severely damaged, resulting in their instant deaths.
The Halol-Vadodara toll road was closed following the accident, leading to a four-kilometer-long traffic jam. Emergency services, including the Vadodara Fire and Emergency team and the police department, quickly responded to the scene. The inspector of Jarod police station confirmed the deaths and noted that three other injured individuals were taken to the CHC Center in Jarod.
Six people in another car involved in the accident were rescued without serious injuries. The tragic deaths of the couple highlight the severe consequences of this multi-vehicle collision and the need for road safety measures on this busy route.
