Congress to Launch Nyay Yatra in Gujarat for Morbi and Rajkot Victims
300 km march from Morbi to Gandhinagar seeks justice for accident victims
Ahmedabad- The Congress party will take out the Nyay Yatra in Gujarat to get justice for the victims of the Morbi bridge accident and Rajkot fire incident that occurred in the past two years. The yatra will start from Morbi on August 9, organized by the Gujarat Pradesh Congress, and will conclude in Gandhinagar on August 22. Prominent Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, are expected to participate in this 300 km long yatra from Morbi to Gandhinagar.
Announcing this in a press conference at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan, Congress Seva Dal national chief Lalji Desai said that the yatra will travel from Morbi to Gandhinagar via Rajkot, Surendranagar, and Ahmedabad. During the yatra, Congress will carry a pitcher to collect complaints and problems from the people.
Approximately 100 people will participate in the yatra, with a 20 to 25 km long padyatra undertaken each day. Congress leaders from across the country will join this yatra from Morbi to Gandhinagar. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi have also been invited to join this yatra. Vadnagar MLA Jignesh Mevani remarked that the victim families have not yet received justice.
