14 Gujarat Students Return Home from Bangladesh Amid Crisis

Gandhinagar- Fourteen students from Gujarat who were stranded in Bangladesh have safely returned home, thanks to the coordinated efforts of the state government and the Indian Ministry of External Affairs. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel had instructed the NRG Foundation to facilitate immediate coordination and make necessary arrangements for the students' return.

The NRG Foundation set up a helpline number an email contact (nrgfoundation@gujarat.gov.in) for information on stranded students. Parents and relatives of the students provided their details to the foundation, which then coordinated with the Ministry of External Affairs to arrange the safe return of approximately 25 students.

As a result of these efforts, 14 students have returned home safely, including seven from Bharuch district, two each from Ahmedabad and Bhavnagar, and one each from Amreli, Mehsana, and Patan. The state government is now working on bringing back the remaining 11 students.

The Ministry of External Affairs has issued an advisory for the Indian community and students in Bangladesh, urging them to limit local travel and stay indoors as much as possible.
