Ahmedabad : Suspended Constable Neeta Chaudhary Arrested

Ahmedabad – Suspended constable Neeta Chaudhary, who had deceived the Ahmedabad police, was arrested by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). She was discovered hiding in a village near Limdi at a distant relative's house.

Chaudhary was previously apprehended with liquor in a car alongside a bootlegger from Kutch. When the police attempted to stop the car, the bootlegger, Yuvraj Singh Jadeja, tried to run over the officers. Neeta Chaudhary was present in the car at that time and was subsequently arrested.

Initially granted bail by the court, Chaudhary's bail was later revoked by the sessions court due to the severity of the case, ordering her to return to jail. She absconded following the cancellation of her bail on July 10.

Acting on intelligence, the Gujarat ATS discovered that Neeta Chaudhary was hiding in a village near Limdi, at the home of a distant relative related to the in-laws of bootlegger Yuvraj Singh Jadeja. An ATS team conducted a raid on Tuesday, successfully arresting her and handing her over to the Kutch police.

On June 30, Neeta Chaudhary, a female constable from Kutch CID, was caught transporting liquor with Yuvraj Singh. When police tried to intercept their vehicle, Yuvraj Singh attempted to run over a sub-inspector. Yuvraj Singh later confessed to the police that he had met Neeta Chaudhary six months prior through social media, which led to their friendship and subsequent illegal activities.
