Members of an Odisha government-appointed 11-person team visited the Jagannath temple on Sunday afternoon to reopen its renowned treasury. Former Orissa High Court judge Biswanath Rath, Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) head administrator Arabinda Padhee, ASI Superintendent DB Gadanayak, and a delegate of Puri's titular royal 'Gajapati Maharaja' have all accessed the treasure.

Four temple servants entered the Ratna Bhandar as well: Patjoshi Mohapatra, Bhandar Mekap, Chadhaukarana, and Deulikaran. The 'Agnya' ceremony, in which consent is sought for the reopening of the Ratna Bhandar, was accomplished this morning.
