Sarvajanik University and L&T Edutech Sign Landmark Collaboration

A landmark academic collaboration agreement has been signed between Sarvajanik University, a prestigious institution under the Gujarat Private University Act, and L&T Edutech, a subsidiary of L&T. This is L&T's first partnership in Gujarat aimed at bridging the gap between industry and academia, specifically enhancing the employability of engineering and IT students.

Sarvajanik University, established by the 112-year-old Public Education Society, is dedicated to providing quality education at affordable fees. The university boasts 8 faculties, including Engineering, Science, Commerce, Management, Arts, Humanities, Architecture, Design, Planning & Technology, and Law. With over 600 experienced faculty members and 7500 students, it offers more than 65 programs from undergraduate to doctoral levels, committed to academic excellence and holistic development.

L&T Edutech, a dynamic new venture of L&T, has been operating for 85 years and focuses on enhancing the employability of students and professionals in engineering and technology. Its industry-based, application-oriented programs aim to equip students with the skills required to excel in their careers. The College Connect program, a key initiative under this venture, combines academic knowledge with practical industry skills.

Bharat Shah, Chairman of Sarvajanik University, stated, “This unique agreement will provide our students with invaluable opportunities to work with prestigious industries upon completion of academic work. Under this landmark agreement, Sarvajanik University and L&T Edutech will offer integrated courses tailored specifically to real-time industry requirements. These programs, comprising 30 credits, will be offered to students throughout the course of 4 years (8 semesters).”

Additional courses such as Building Integrated Modelling (BIM) for Architecture and Civil students and various short-term (2 to 3 credits) courses for Commerce and Management students have been designed. These courses will be conducted by experienced faculty of L&T Edutech in a hybrid mode, incorporating practical sessions where required.
