Thane, 30 June (HS): Police in Thane district have filed a case against a man for allegedly raping a 20-year-old lady and attempting to sell her kidney for sale, officials said on Sunday.
According to the FIR, accused Rahul, also known by the names Vasim, Chandan, and Kundankumar, reportedly sexually attacked a lady at his house in the Nalasopara neighborhood many days ago. Rahul seemed to be in contact with two other ladies about trafficking a 20-year-old for organ sale, according to an official.
After being threatened by him to complete the task, two ladies escorted the 20-year-old to the hospital on Saturday and handed her over to Rahul. However, the strategy failed, according to an official. Meanwhile, a fourth lady learned of Rahul's activities and alerted the police. Based on her accusation, authorities charged Rahul with rape and people trafficking under the IPC.
