Bahraich, 22 June (HS): A man reportedly killed his one-year-old kid here on suspicion that he was not the child's father, authorities said Saturday. Police detained the guy following a complaint from his wife, who discovered the unconscious youngster on Thursday.
According to reports, the infant was transported to a hospital and died while receiving treatment. Samsher Bahadur Singh, SHO of Rupaidiha Police Station, stated that the mother has accused her husband, Sujit, of murder. The minor's body has been submitted for a postmortem investigation.
According to the SHO, police detained Sujit on Friday night after filing a FIR against him under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code. According to early investigations, Sujit doubted his wife's integrity and claimed that the small kid was not his child, so he killed him. He stated that an investigation into the situation is now ongoing.
