Indian Women's Archery Team Wins Gold at Antalya World Cup

New Delhi – The top-ranked Indian compound women's team won the gold medal at the Archery World Cup Stage-3 in Antalya, Turkey, on Saturday.
The Indian trio of Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Aditi Swami, and Preneet Kaur defeated sixth-ranked Estonia with a score of 232-229 in the final match. This victory marks their third consecutive gold medal at the Archery World Cup in 2024, having previously secured wins in Shanghai and Yecheon earlier this year.
In Stage-3, the Indian team received a bye in the first round, which featured only 10 countries. They advanced to the final by defeating El Salvador 235-227 and hosts Turkey 234-227.
The top Indian men's team, comprising Priyansh, Abhishek Verma, and Prathamesh Phuge, faced a narrow defeat to Turkey in the semi-finals, with a score of 236-236, losing in the shoot-off (30*-30, Turkey's shot closer to the center). They also fell short in the bronze medal match against France, losing 236-235.
