The incident happened between 2 and 3 o'clock in the night. The cause of the fire is said to be a short circuit.
It has been told that Vijay alias Bunty Agarwal has a three-storey house in Kailashnagar of Bahodpur police station area, in which the building has a dry fruits shop on the ground floor, a warehouse on the second floor and he lived with his family on the third floor. Vijay's wife Radhika had gone to her in-laws' house in Morena with son Ansh. Vijay and his two daughters Ayesha alias Mini (15) and Yashika alias Yeshu (14) were at home.
On Wednesday night, all three went to sleep after having dinner. Late at night, the house suddenly caught fire. The fire took a monstrous form and flames started rising. The only way to get out of the house is from below. The fire had spread here. The second way is from the back of the house, but they had kept a cupboard there, due to which the father and both the daughters got trapped in the fire and could not get out.
Seeing the flames rising from the house, the people of the neighborhood informed the fire brigade and the police. As soon as the information was received, the police and fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and started the rescue, but the situation could not be controlled, because the fire had spread too much. After this, SDRF and Air Force were also called to the spot for help.
The 13-member team of SDRF broke the wall of the second floor with a machine. Vijay was taken out from here. The cupboard was removed by breaking the door of the third floor. Both the daughters were taken out from here. All three were rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared them dead. ASP Akhilesh Rainwal said that the fire has been brought under control. The three people trapped in the house were taken out and sent to the hospital, but they had already died. Meanwhile, eyewitness Shailu Chauhan, who lives in the neighborhood, said that the fire was very fierce.
The daughters and Vijay could not come out from inside. SDRF Platoon Commander in-charge Govind Sharma said that we got information about the fire at 3 o'clock in the night. We came here on the spot and broke the wall and took Vijay out. There was a door on the third floor, but it was also broken due to the cupboard being installed. Both the girls were taken out from the third floor. The fire was brought under control by 4.30 am on Thursday.
