Indian Embassy Holds Serene Session in Washington for International Yoga Day
Delhi, 20 June (H.S): The Indian Embassy in the US has organized a Yoga session in Washington ahead of International Yoga Day, which is celebrated worldwide on June 21. The event, held at the picturesque and serene Wharf in Washington, was attended by various community organizations and received enthusiastic participation.
Deputy Ambassador at the Embassy, Supriya Ranganathan, highlighted the global reach and popularity of Yoga, which has spread far beyond its origins in India. She noted that there are now millions of followers of this ancient practice around the world. The theme for this year's International Yoga Day, "Yoga for Self and Society," was emphasized during the event, which also aimed to promote the use of environment-friendly products and practices in daily life.
