This comprehensive booklet, compiled by the Personnel Department, is dedicated to educating railway employees on essential safety measures.
According to Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the guide focuses on vital safety protocols. It includes instructions for working on tracks, operating overhead equipment, and handling electrification, particularly during the monsoon season. The guide also covers safety procedures for shunting operations, CPR techniques during medical emergencies, and personal safety rules.
Emphasizing the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), the guide also addresses safe machinery and equipment handling, and raises awareness of potential hazards in railway operations. This initiative underscores Western Railway's commitment to promoting a safe working environment, reducing workplace injuries, and ensuring the well-being of its employees.
